An Important Message from Dan & Melissa Williams

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and current restrictions on public gatherings in New York state, we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel this year’s Daniel Barden Mudfest event.

Although this was not an easy decision, we recognize that we must prioritize the safety of our participants and volunteers. Daniel Barden Mudfest has always been about finding light in dark places and choosing kindness and empathy above all else. Therefore, we believe canceling is in everyone’s best interest at this time.

This is the first time in eight years since the event’s inception that we have canceled the event. We will greatly miss the feeling of excitement and anticipation on race day, as well as the comradery and togetherness of the after-party.

We want to stress how much we value everyone’s support. Unfortunately, in preparing for the event before it was canceled, we incurred costs that still must be covered. If you’d consider making a donation to the cause, please visit https://www.bardenmudfest.org/donate/.

We thank you for your support during this trying and unpredictable time in our country, and we hope to see you all next year on Saturday, May 1, 2021.

The Daniel Barden Mudfest Team
